Paragon Tea Cup & Saucer Double Warrant Cobalt, Heavy Gold Gilt, Large Pink Rose. This gorgeous Paragon Tea Cup and Saucer set is in Excellent Condition with no visible cracks nor chips nor crazing. There is a tiny incised line underneath the base of the tea cup near the Paragon mark which very difficult to see. There is very little wear to the gilding on the rims and none other to be noticed.The set was made in England over 70+ years ago in the 1940s of high quality English bone china. The beautiful large pink rose and little rose bud are set off by the pastel yellow background which contrasts perfectly with the cobalt blue as well on both the teacup and the saucer.

Queen Mary Fine Bone China England Regd which was used from about 1939 through 1949. Along with the Paragon mark it appears that the pattern number is hand marked on the bottom of the saucer along with other letters - typically the gilder's and painter's marks. Photo notes: The photo makes the yellow look lighter on the saucer however it matches the tea cup perfectly.
Also, two photos of the cup and saucer make the cobalt blue look brighter because a flash was used in the photos. Cup Diameter = 3 7/8" Cup Width including handle = 4 7/8" Cup Height = 2 1/8" Cup Height including handle = 2 1/4". Saucer Diameter = 5 1/2. You could compete with a museum for one of these, but really, why would you when you can have this beauty.
