Nippon Hand Painted Pink & Yellow Rose Heavy Raised Gold Tea Cup & Saucer. Nice porcelain tea cup with three small cabriolet style legs and matching saucer. Decorated with hand painted pink and yellow roses over a blue-grey and yellow background. The roses are divided into panels by wide sections of gold gilding with raised gold designs. Has a large pink rose in the center of the cup and gold gilding to the handle.

Unmarked, but probably made during the Nippon era of Japanese porcelain, circa 1891 to 1921. Has some wear to the gilding and the cup has two small gilded over chips to the lip.

The cup measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/4 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 7/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
