Fabulous Antique Nippon Fine Porcelain, Heavy Gold Oval Bowl. Hand Painted in Japan, by Guest Artist Mary Wise. Purple Pink Roses grace the Interior of this Deep Oval Bowl. Heavy Gold Detail in Relief, creates a Golden Trellis on the Ring White, which separates the Steel Blue from the Teal Green.

Heavy Gold Detail in Relief, creates Beaded Borders on both edges of the White. Heavy Gold Detail in Relief, scrolls along the Blue and Teal. Gold borders the bottom edge of the Teal, and surrounds the Roses with Beading.

Gold scrolls down into the whites, and creates Gold Roses, as well. The Maker's Mark is the blue Nippon Oriental China Round Mark. The Nippon Oriental China Round Mark dates the bowl between 1891 and 1921.

Found on the bottom, is an added tape, marked "Guest Artist Mary Wise". Nippon History In 1891, the McKinley Tariff Act was passed into law. Items marked Nippon, were made and imported between 1891 and 1921. The Nippon Maple Leaf mark, is one of the older Nippon marks, dating back to 1891.

Bowl measures approximately 1-5/8" tall x 7-3/4" long x 5-1/4 wide. We have several other Antique Heavy Gold bowls, available in separate listings. We received these from one collector. It will take me a day or two to list them all. Minor wear on the gold on the rim, as shown in the photos. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs.
