Antique Bone China Fruit Nut Bowl Heavy Gold Gilt Royal Kinran Nippon Roses 7.5

  
This beautifully crafted bone china bowl from Nippon features a hand painted floral pattern in pink, blue, green and yellow with heavy gilding and black accents. The decorative gold embellishment on the inside of the bowl includes a ribbon-like, beaded design in relief-(known as moriage) and extends to the ruffled edge treatment. The outside is painted in a wide band of yellow and large pink and green flowers with gold scrollwork above. The shallow bowl has a capacity of 2-3 dry cups, making it suitable for serving fruits, nuts or relish. It is stamped and embossed with a raised floral back-stamp for Royal Kinran.

The bowl should be hand washed only. This elegant china bowl is in very good to excellent preowned condition.

There is little wear noted; some gold loss to rim edges and no chips cracks or repairs are evident. This antique piece with its Victorian style, was produced in Japan between 1890 and 1921.
